Final Blogging Assessment English 1B

In the book Catching Fire, written by Suzanne Collins, there is a lot of cliff hangers and bloddy endings to tributes.  Right before going up in the tubes to the map, when Katness is just finished talking to Cinna a tragedy happens.  Katness has to see something she never wanted to see happen, when it says, "Suddenly the door behind him bursts open and three Peacekeepers spring into the room.  Two pin Cinna's arms behind him and cuff him while the third hits him in the temple with such force he's knocked to his knees.  But they keep hitting him with metal-studded gloves, opening gashes on his face and body.  I'm screaming my head off, banging on the unyielding glass, trying to reach him... All that's left are the smears of bolld on the floor" (Collins 262-263).  This tragedy shows a cliff hanger of why they would do this to Cinna and what will happen next!  Just as this happens Katness feels the metal plat beneath her starting to rise, and with this she gets even more frightened.  In the games there becomes a lot of trust that goes on, and at any time anyone could be the next one to die, even from betrayel.  Katness has a lot of trusting to do in this game, since otherwise there would be no chance of her winning.  There becomes a sacrafice inb the middle of the games that is needed when it says, "Can you take them both? Go on ahead, I'll catch up... I can't carry them both. My arms arn't working... Im sorry, Mags, I can't do it.  What happens next is so fast, so senseless, I can't even move to stop it.  Mags hauls herself up, plants a kiss on Finnick's lips, and then hobbles straight into the fog.  Immediately, her body is seized by wild contortions and she falls to the ground in a horrible dance" (Collins 301).  This shows a lot of concrete diction, because it refers to objects or events that are available to the senses.  In the end, you just have to be able to trust and hope for the best!

During the Hunger Games, when Katness is showing one of the tributes as to how to shoot a bow
